About Matt
Colorado Native
I was born in Colorado, raised in the Rocky Mountains, and nourished by a family of artists. Both of my parents believed in hard work and raised me to be ready for whatever life has to offer.
Technical Background
This site has been online since 1994. I initially created this site to showcase my design work but for the last eight years I have been working as an application developer, so now I use it primarily to demonstrate my development skills.
I am currently employed as Webmaster at CollegeInvest, a Division of the Colorado Department of Higher Education. I work primarily with Microsoft technologies and my language of choice is C#.
I started designing Websites in 1994. It wasn't until 1998 that I really got into programming. My first contract came in 1999. I was hired to redevelop a Web site for a Land and Title company. Since then I have worked with businesses in a variety of industries, including education, financing, advertising/marketing, environmental, automotive, and travel.
Today I specialize in .NET and Microsoft-based technologies and provide a broad range of development services. From front-end user interface and graphic design, to middle-tier application development and back-end database programming, I have done it all. I have worked on projects for Microsoft, Mitsubishi, Verizon, Remax, Jefferson County Schools, Village Homes, and Savci Environmental Technologies, to name a few.
Favorite Things
When I am not at work or with my family, I enjoy reading, drawing, writing, and playing my guitar. Between all that, you may find me mellowing out to Jack Johnson with a Caramel Macchiato or at Maggianos with a bottle of Rioja.
